Beaver Creek Summer Engagement
Emily and Ryan’s Beaver Creek summer engagement session was everything you could hope for: sunlit mountain views, elegant style, and heartfelt moments. We started at the Country Club of the Rockies, where the couple are members, before heading to a private golf club near Beaver Creek, where Ryan’s family has a vacation home. The day ended with the most beautiful golden glow, creating the perfect backdrop for their portraits.
Photographed on both color and black and white film, this engagement session highlighted timeless details with a modern touch. Emily wore a stunning blue Zimmerman dress that flowed beautifully in the mountain breeze, while Ryan kept it classic and sharp. Together, they looked like the epitome of mountain elegance.
Meet Emily & Ryan
Ryan grew up in Texas, and now works in HR and finance software sales. A passionate golfer and snowboarder, he never misses a chance to check snow forecasts in the winter. Emily is from Texas, too, and works as a management consultant. She is also a Pilates instructor and loves spending time outdoors.
A Love Story That Began with a Blind Date
The two met through Ryan’s sister, who introduced them after becoming friends with Emily through work. Their first date was at a local Italian spot in Dallas, and they both immediately knew something special had started. Just a few months later, on New Year’s Eve, Ryan officially asked Emily to be his girlfriend. After a year and a half of dating, their relationship continues to grow stronger every day.
Ryan planned a private proposal at a historic Dallas hotel. Surrounded by flowers in a courtyard garden, he asked Emily to marry him while both families watched through a one-way window. They celebrated with dinner in the courtyard, followed by a surprise party with friends.
Traveling is one of their favorite things to do, whether it’s hiking in Hawaii, attending a country concert in Fort Worth, or exploring the Colorado mountains. On weekends at home, they enjoy trying new restaurants and catching up with friends.
Beaver Creek Summer Engagement
Beaver Creek was the ideal choice for their summer engagement photos. The scenery offered both elegance and adventure, much like their relationship. Between the rolling greens of the golf course, the sweeping mountain views, and the soft evening light, their session felt intimate, relaxed, and full of joy. This couple was truly a dream to photograph, and their effortless style and warm personalities made this session one of my favorites.
