Before Emily and Charlie’s wedding at The Broadmoor, their friends and family gathered for a lively welcome party at the Golden Bee. With Emily’s family traveling from London, an English-style pub was a particularly fitting choice.

The evening felt relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality. Most importantly, it gave everyone a chance to settle in and enjoy time together before the wedding festivities began.

An English-Inspired Welcome Party at the Golden Bee

Golden Bee was the perfect setting for this part of Emily and Charlie’s wedding weekend. The upscale English pub brought a little taste of home to Colorado. And, naturally, the evening included Pimm’s Cups as the signature drink. There was plenty of delicious food to enjoy, too. Guests could dig into classic fish and chips, giant soft pretzels, and other pub favorites. As a result, the atmosphere felt festive without being overly formal.

Adding to the atmosphere, a pianist played throughout the evening. The music included songs by beloved English musicians and composers, including Andrew Lloyd Webber. That detail made the evening feel especially connected to Emily’s family and their home in London. Meanwhile, the beautiful setting at The Broadmoor gave the celebration its distinctly Colorado backdrop.

A welcome party is such a fun way to begin a wedding weekend. Rather than jumping straight into the wedding day, guests have time to reconnect, meet each other, and celebrate the couple before the main event.

For Emily and Charlie, Golden Bee offered exactly that. It was relaxed, joyful, and distinctly personal to their families.

And, of course, the celebration continued the following day with Emily and Charlie’s Cheyenne Mountain Lodge Wedding at The Broadmoor (coming soon). Their Broadmoor Engagement Photos were another beautiful part of their story, too.

From the first Pimm’s Cup to the final song, this Golden Bee welcome party was a wonderful beginning to an unforgettable wedding weekend at The Broadmoor.
