Alexa and Daniel’s Greystone Castle wedding was a celebration rooted in family, tradition, and thoughtful design. Every detail felt intentional, yet nothing outshined the people who gathered to celebrate them.
From meaningful family heirlooms to a joyful Jewish ceremony beneath a stunning floral chuppah, every part of their wedding day reflected the people they love most. Even on one of the hottest summer days in Boulder, the celebration never lost its energy.
If Alexa and Daniel look familiar, you may remember their adventurous Rocky Mountain National Park engagement session with their Porsche, that was also featured on Loverly. Their wedding day was every bit as personal and memorable.
Greystone Castle Wedding in Boulder
Greystone Castle is one of Boulder’s most unique wedding venues. The historic estate offers elegant architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and mountain views. During Alexa and Daniel’s wedding, the grounds were especially beautiful thanks to the abundance of blooming roses throughout the property.
My favorite location was easily the front of the estate. The white roses lining the path created the perfect backdrop for their first look, wedding party portraits, and family portraits. It felt timeless, romantic, and effortlessly elegant.
Because the property is so expansive, I was also able to capture several drone images during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Seeing the floral design, guests, and estate from above added another perspective to an already stunning day.
Getting Ready at Limelight Hotel Boulder
Alexa began her wedding morning at the Limelight Hotel in Boulder, surrounded by her closest family and friends. One of the most meaningful details she wore was an heirloom sapphire necklace. The necklace originally belonged to her grandmother, who later wore it to Alexa’s mother’s wedding. Now, it became part of another family milestone, connecting three generations through one beautiful piece of jewelry.
These are the kinds of details that often become some of my favorite photographs. They carry so much history while becoming part of a brand new story.
White Florals and Meaningful Design
The floral design, created by Myisha, embraced a timeless palette of white flowers and lush greenery.
One of my favorite stories from the day came from Alexa’s mom. When planner Donnah of Poised Events asked what colors they envisioned for the wedding, her answer was beautifully simple: she wanted the people they loved to be the color. That thoughtful idea became the inspiration behind the entire design. Rather than competing with the celebration, the neutral palette allowed every guest, and every meaningful moment, to stand out.
The beautiful white floral chuppah became the centerpiece of their Jewish ceremony and looked perfectly at home against the aspen grove at Greystone Castle.
A Joyful Jewish Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments and meaningful Jewish traditions. Beneath the floral chuppah, Alexa and Daniel exchanged vows surrounded by their families and closest friends. Even with the summer heat, guests remained fully present, celebrating every moment with them.
Afterward, everyone enjoyed cocktail hour throughout the gardens before heading to the sailcloth tent.
Dancing the Night Away at a Greystone Castle Wedding
Once the reception began, the celebration quickly turned into an incredible dance party. Flare Band kept the dance floor packed all evening. Guests barely left the floor, and the energy never slowed down. It was the perfect ending to a wedding that felt joyful from beginning to end.
