Meeting Brey and Tyler for Union Station engagement photos in downtown Denver was the highlight of my weekend. The mountains are a big draw for many, but I loved that these two chose a city look instead. We met at my fave downtown spot first, the courthouse. Then we headed to the top of a parking garage (love this look for skyline photos). And lastly, we traveled to Union Station. The dichotomy between the courthouse and Union Station made this session fun – the calm, pure look contrasted with the chaos.
Tyler, originally from Atlanta and a huge Braves fan, met Brey during the March 2021 massive blizzard. While snowed in together for three days, Brey knew there was a spark. Shortly thereafter, Tyler made the move to Colorado and within three weeks, Tyler asked Brey on a date to Jinya Ramen (which is where they celebrate all big milestones). Three years later, they were engaged!
Tyler proposed in San Diego, when they went to the beach for “family photos.” During the session, Tyler got down on one knee on front of Brey’s family. Afterwards, they celebrated with cocktails on a rooftop bar. And to Brey’s surprise, Tyler booked a nice hotel room where they continued celebrating and dreaming about their future.
Brey and Tyler’s favorite weekend actives are hanging out with friends, finding the newest restaurant or cocktail bar, baseball games in the summer, golfing, anything outside. As Brey loves sunshine no matter the temperature outside, they love snowboarding together, too. Their favorite dates have been eating dinner at a Michelin star restaurant, and last minute plans like day trips to the mountains.
