I took all of these sexy bridal photos on the beach on film. Once this session was done, I had one digital image I kinda-sorta-not-really liked. One! And then about a week later, the film images land in my inbox and I was floored. Hello Portra 400!
This session took place during Ashley Rae’s styled shoot in Florida. I had packed multiple rolls of Fuji 400h, my current favorite color film stock. After shooting a couple of rolls, I went to reload and couldn’t find my extras! I looked all through my bag, thoroughly confused, as to where my additional rolls of film were. Sweet Markie came to my rescue, lending me a roll of Portra 400. I had only shot this film once prior. And I cannot remember what I rated it at, either. These aren’t my typical style of images, but I was blown away when I saw them! The rich and golden Portra 400 captured this bride’s tanned skin so beautifully against a background of bold and saturated blues!
So I eventually found my extra rolls of Fuji. They were in my pocket the whole time. [insert face/palm emoji here] Despite this, I’m thrilled with these images and glad of the happy accident. If you’re interested a sexy bridal photos on the beach, let me know here. I can’t wait to hear from you!
