When Charlea reached out to me for family portraits at the end of December, I knew there’d be a great chance for gorgeous snowy photos. We got a fresh dusting dump the night prior! A couple of feet of snow turned Denver into a beautiful winter wonderland! We met in the foothills for Colorado snowy family photos.
Charlea, her husband Ty, and baby Leighton are a playful and affectionate family! Charlea and Ty met in highschool. Ty was instantly smitten, but Charlea took a little longer to warm up. Later, Charlea asked Ty to the homecoming dance because she didn’t know many other people. Much to her surprise, he said no. But it was only because he had another girlfriend at the time. He eventually broke up with that girlfriend, and here Charlea and Ty are, 17 years later!
For their session, we were joined by Charlea’s parents, Essie and Greg, and Charlea’s sister, Bailey, plus her husband Chad and their new baby Elijah. South Valley Park is a popular photography location with plenty of cool spots scattered throughout. However, since the snow was deep and we had a limited amount of time, we stayed close to the parking lot.
