Denver Family Photographer with Golden Aspens

Early October in the Denver front range mountains is one of the most beautiful times of year for family portraits. The air is crisp, the light is golden, and the aspen trees are glowing with fall color. As a Denver family photographer, I love when the season aligns so perfectly with an incredible family. This session with Molly, Brad, and their two boys was one of those unforgettable afternoons.

A Picture-Perfect Day in the Colorado Mountains

The weather was ideal and the yellow aspens were at their peak. Molly and Brad arrived with their boys, Landon and Carson, all beautifully dressed and ready to explore. The session felt calm, relaxed, and fun – just the way family photos should be. The kids were sweet, well-behaved, and full of personality, making every moment easy to capture.

Meet the Family

Molly and Brad first met at DU, eventually reconnecting in grad school. Now, years later, they’ve built a life together full of love and laughter. Their boys are full of charm and unique traits that made this session so enjoyable. Landon loves emergency vehicles, skiing, and playing golf. Outgoing and smart, he brought curiosity and energy to our time together. Carson is goofy, silly, and full of smiles. He loves trains, swimming, and the color purple. He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his joy is contagious.

This family describes themselves as silly and fun, which couldn’t have been more true. Whether it’s going to the zoo, visiting the railroad museum, or simply enjoying movie nights at home, they love making memories together. Their bond shines through in the little moments – laughing, hugging, and playing – that we captured in the golden light.

Everything about this session was a dream: the stunning fall backdrop, the warm sunshine, the beautiful family, and most importantly, the joy shared between them. These portraits are not only beautiful but also a reflection of the love and laughter this family carries with them every day. If you’re looking for a Denver family photographer, let me know here.

Mary Ann is wonderful! From the get-go you will be met with warm, professional communication and feel right at home when you finally meet her in person. She is very easy to talk to and made our family feel comfortable and like we looked like a million bucks. She hadn’t done a session in the area we asked her to come to, but that didn’t stop her from exploring the area relentlessly that day to make sure she could provide a product that is consistent with her work. We love our photos! Book with Mary Ann; you won’t regret it!” – Heather K.
