Wedding Inspiration at Oceana’s Gardens
Oceana’s Gardens is one of Boulder’s newest wedding venues, and it feels like stepping into Europe. Built in the late 1900s, the Italianate-style home is surrounded by sprawling gardens that transport you to another time. When I visited, I learned that the owner’s daughter was married here, and her experience inspired the family to open the property for more weddings. It is a place layered with meaning, beauty, and artistry.

The gardens are breathtaking. Some corners look straight out of a Monet painting, with dappled light and painterly blooms. Garden Party Wedding Inspiration at Oceana’s Gardens
For this editorial, I teamed with Elizabeth Rose Florals to bring a vision of summer romance to life. She dreamed up a butter yellow wedding color palette, echoing the hue of the home itself. Together, we created a tablescape for six guests, styled as a refined garden party.
The floral design featured roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, marigolds, scabiosa, and more, arranged in compote bowls with additional pieces cascading at the table’s edge. Taper and pillar candles glowed among lemons and green grapes, adding texture and warmth. Rattan-style chairs, scalloped plates, and soft linens from Event Rents completed the scene.
I added a personal touch with custom calligraphy menus, through Willow Court Calligraphy, at each setting, tying together the sense of luxury and artistry. The final result was a picturesque celebration of elegance – the perfect inspiration for couples planning a European-inspired wedding in Colorado.
