2024 started out with a bang! Attending the Vizcaya workshop as a Miami wedding photographer, hosted by The Editorial Experiences, in January was an encouraging way to begin the year. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this workshop was; the images alone speak for themselves!
The workshop included a full day of education, with keynote speaker (and personal icon) KT Merry. KT has long been a source of inspiration to me. And meeting her at The Hybrid Conference last year was such a highlight, however I was too shy to ask for a photo together. But I wasn’t going to let the opportunity pass me by this year! Other on-site amazing educators and speakers included Amberly Odom, Jenna Wren, Sacia Matthews, Lance Nicoll, Molly McCauley, Shauna Cooney, and The Willetts.
One of the biggest attractors to this workshop was the venue, Vizcaya. I’ve wanted to visit and photograph here for quite a while. So when I discovered The Editorial Experiences, I was immediately intrigued! Constructed between 1914 and 1922, this stunning villa encompasses 34 exquisitely decorated rooms, formal gardens, a mangrove shoreline, a hardwood hammock, and a historic village that once supported the estate.
