As a Winter Park photographer, I love taking advantage of the beautiful Colorado summers to capture families in their element. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing this family near Winter Park, where the warm sun, soft wildflowers, and breathtaking mountain views created the perfect backdrop for our session. And we actually got a golden hour, which rarely happens in Colorado.
About The Family
Owen and Heather met during their college days, where they were both business majors. Their love story began in the classroom, with Owen asking Heather to study with him. Their mutual love for sports, with Owen playing basketball and track, and Heather playing volleyball, added an extra spark to their connection.
Now, they have three wonderful children: Brooke, Dawson, and Haven. First is Brooke, the eldest at 13, a talented volleyball player and has a passion for arts. Next is Dawson, 11, a sports enthusiast with an incredible memory for sports facts, particularly about the Kansas City Chiefs and MLB baseball. Lastly, there’s Haven, the 10-year-old bundle of energy, who is always up for an adventure and brought a lively spirit to our photo session.
Winter Park Photographer
Photographing this family was a delightful experience. Their warmth, love for each other, and zest for life were evident in every shot. As a Winter Park photographer, I strive to capture these genuine moments, creating timeless memories for families like these. Winter Park can be a challenging portrait location as the area is nestled into the side of a hill, with mountain views to the east. We traveled a few miles north for these open spaces at sunset.
