This has been the most amazing and exciting season for Madeline and Jacob! Not only did it start with a move to Colorado and then a beautiful engagement, the arrival of baby Fletcher was a joy-filled celebration. And now the two tied the knot on a lovely Monday afternoon in a lovely Hildebrand Ranch Colorado Elopement!
These two have known each other since elementary school and are the sweetest couple! They grew up together and have always been good friends. It’s so easy to why Madeline and Jacob are perfect for each other! It’s been such a joy and honor to get to know them throughout these milestones and capture their special moments.
Our afternoon started at the Rocky Mountain foothills, a place called Hildebrand Ranch near Littleton, Colorado, which is a very popular photography spot. Madeline had always dreamed of a rustic wedding, so a sweet ceremony at this bucolic, picturesque old barn was an easy decision for her. We were joined by Sawyer Trapp, a pastor that the couple knows from church. Sawyer led an absolutely lovely ceremony in front of the rustic barn. Madeline and Jacob laughed, smiled, and shed a few tears. Baby Fletcher mostly slept in his stroller.
After the exchange of vows, exchange of rings, first kiss as husband and wife, and signing of the legal documents, I got to work on photographing the rings. I love using macro photography to see the rings, and especially the diamond, close up! I especially love Madeline’s engagement ring because not only is it the same setting as my own, we both have oval shaped solitaire diamonds.
From there, we did solo shots of both Madeline and Jacob alone, as well as detail shots. Jacob had the cutest aqua-colored bowtie and Madeline’s autumnal bouquet was simply stunning! After these photos, we walked to the trail entrance. Right around the corner we are greeted with sweeping, rolling mountain views with pasture grass in the foreground. With the sun setting at golden hour, this was the perfect spot for our bride and groom photos. I love being a Denver wedding photographer!
