No doubt about it, we have some lovely changing leaves during the Autumn season in Colorado! Late September into mid-October is a wonderful time to see the colorful leaves and schedule your Colorado fall family photos. Just recently, I met Ashley, Andy, and their three children at a remote location outside of Denver.
I arrived early to scout out a spot in this idyllic, pastoral town and while driving around, I stumbled upon a beautiful path framed by soft late-afternoon light filtering through (what I believe to be) yellow-leaf ash trees. The branches were growing in an arch pattern over the road, slightly reminding me of Southern live oak trees. I love a natural formed arch in nature, and this path did not disappoint. And bonus, there was a cute tree-dotted grassy meadow right next to this deserted road.
Meeting this lovely family was the highlight of my day, especially adorable, little Kensie! She was a total natural in front of the camera and loved giving me exuberant smiles. I found out that she is also a ballerina-in-training! Her brother Charlie was a total cutie, too, and it was so evident how much he loves his family. Naomi, the oldest daughter, also took gorgeous pics; I originally thought she was a junior or senior in high school! Ashley and Andy are such a cute couple and so sweet, and perfect the “walking shots” (those are some of my fave shots to capture since they are less posed).
Autumn will be over soon, but Colorado snowy family photos or even snowy senior photos sound amazing, right? I typically deliver portrait sessions in about a week or less, so there is still plenty of time to book your session in time for holiday cards. And we have snow forecasted for next week!
Very well done!!
Luv ya,
Dad
