I’m super thrilled to share this sweet family today! This lovely open space park on the west side of the metro area was a perfect location for family photos in Atlanta Georgia.
I originally met Audrey about ten years ago in a local dance company (has it been that long already?). We danced and taught dance together for many years before I moved to Colorado. I attended her wedding to Jake and watched baby Penelope grow into a toddler! Photographing this family of three in 2018 was the first photoshoot I did after I decided to become serious about photography. Since then, rosy-cheeked Theo has joined the family with his adorably cute smile!
Audrey’s family’s style of soft, flowy dresses is the perfect complement to my nostalgic Prince Edward Island inspired vision. Next, add in some fresh cut hydrangeas (from my mom’s garden) and roadside Queen Anne’s Lace. I love to add organic elements into photoshoots, which is typically some kind of flower or bouquet. Lastly, toss on a sun hat and cute straw basket. The only thing that’s missing is a lighthouse!
If you’re interested in family photos in Atlanta Georgia, I’ll be in town for a few more weeks! Or if any friends are visiting Colorado, let me know here! Lastly, this family session was featured in The Motherhood Anthology here.
*Audrey’s dresses and Penelope’s cream dress are from my Client Closet.
And just for fun, a 2018 throwback showing how much Penelope (and my photography) has grown!

“We booked a family session with our new puppy with Mary Ann, and I am so glad that we did! From the moment I reached out to her, I could feel her excitement for us. Prior to the shoot, she was an immense help with outfit and location ideas. Outfit planning can be overwhelming but she has a wonderful style guide, and before our shoot even gave me feedback on our outfits and simple changes I should make. She has great location suggestions and a super handy guide highlighting the pros/cons of each location…It was easy to see that her main goal was to create magical memories for us. Can’t wait to book her again next year!” – Meera P.
