This past summer, I had the wonderful pleasure to second shoot with Laura Wolfgang Photography for a beautiful Castle Rock wedding at The Oaks at Plum Creek! This recently renovated beautiful venue sits atop an 18-hole golf course and features views of “the Castle Rock,” the area’s castle-shaped butte in the center of town. The day was sunny and warm; the company even better!
Laura and I met the bride-and-groom-to-be, Emma and Jenson, at the venue and got started right away! While Laura photographed the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids, I photographed the groom with all his fellas! I could tell immediately that Jenson was so incredibly sweet! He not only wore a flower bracelet that Emma had given him, he also wore socks printed with Emma’s name!
Both families were so, so sweet and nice through the entire day! Laura and I loved getting to know everyone! And at the end of the evening, Jenson played a song for Emma on his guitar (and it was a total surprise for her)!
As a second shooter, I’m not always able to capture every single moment, but rather I assist the lead with whatever they need! Sometimes it’s shooting, sometimes it’s moving light stands, and sometimes it’s crouching behind the couple, hidden by the bride’s dress, with a flash behind them, hahah! See even more of Emma and Jenson’s day on Laura’s blog!
And if you’re looking for a Castle Rock wedding photographer, send me a message! I can’t wait to meet you!

“Mary Ann was a joy to work with! She is highly professional and her photography is incredibly beautiful. Mary Ann calmed our nerves and walked us through creating a timeline and setting the tone for the day. She guided us through our photo wish list and truly took the time to get to know us.” – Krysta & Mike
