The best friendships start in elementary school, right?

This is the story of a beautiful couple, Madeline and Jacob, who met in 3rd grade! They grew up together; they played the saxophone in high school band together; they went to church together; they went to college together. When Madeline was younger, she cut the screen out of her window in her parent’s house so she could visit Jacob. Eventually though, even after spending so much of their childhood and young adult lives with each other, they went their separate ways.

They stayed in contact, however, and even though they were physically distant, life kept bringing them back together. Because they had always been good friends, it didn’t take long to realize something more was there. They were always there for each other through some of the toughest times in their lives, and Madeline and Jacob realized they could never live another day without each other!

One afternoon, the couple came home from church; it had been snowing most of the day. Jacob asked Madeline if she wanted to go hiking in the snow – she preferred to relax on the couch. But he convinced her to travel to Red Rocks. As they were hiking, Jacob ran ahead of Madeline, and when she came around the corner to an unbelievable view of the mountainside, Jacob was there with a heart made of roses in the perfect white snow, on one knee, as Madeline’s favorite song played in the background. They were the only people on the mountain that day, which made it even more special.

Madeline and Jacob have a sweet baby on the way, due in July, and are looking so forward to celebrating their new life together as a family of three in Colorado!

And only recently, much to Madeline’s parent’s amusement, did they find out why she cut the screen out of the window!
