August fourth turned out to be a gorgeous day for a Villa Parker wedding. If you’ve lived in Colorado during the summer of 2023, you’re well aware of the nonstop rain we’ve had. A week prior, the forecast showed potential thunderstorms. But the day of turned out to be the sunniest, most beautiful day we’ve had in a quite a while!
Villa Parker is one of the most unique venues I’ve been to! It was originally a residence and built in the early 1970s. The Mediterranean and Tuscan vibe is very original to Colorado and I love the gorgeous architecture and carved wooden doors.
Hillary and John are such a sweet and relaxed couple! These two met in the operating room where John works as an orthopedic spinal surgeon. John proposed on Christmas Eve morning at their home and these two began planning their wedding immediately!
Hillary was a stunning and absolutely gorgeous bride! Her bright blue eyes sparkled all day long and she was a vision in her Justin Alexander wedding gown. Being an easy-going bride, Hillary was a pleasure to photograph for the entire day. However, major accolades go out to her sister, Ashley, who designed the vision for the wedding! My favorite detail of the day (aside from the exquisite florals) was the bookcase. Each book had a guest’s name written on the spine with their table number! I also did not realize that Hillary and Ashley have Native American ancestry and the smudging ceremony was wonderful, as well!
