One of the first (of many) times Everet fell in love with Kelsi was during a very long Naval Battle board game. And even now, they still love to play board games, their favorites being Viticulture, Dominion, and Wings of Fancy. Meeting up with this cute couple for Aspen Colorado engagement photos was the highlight of my weekend – and I revealed to them how Joe and I reconnected (hint: it was through an online game…..).
Both Kelsi and Everet grew up in the Colorado mountains. Much later, they met on Bumble. Their first date was at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival in 2018. On a lovely day last year in 2021, Kelsi and Everet planned a “Lady in the Tramp Dinner” at Ruedi Reservoir. Sunset, a shared plate of spaghetti and meatballs, wine, and candles added up to a very romantic evening. As Kelsi was taking photos of their dogs, Coco and Penny, with the sunset behind them, Everet was setting up the camp stove and starting dinner. When Kelsi turned around, he was down on one knee with a stunning emerald-cut diamond ring! She had no idea it was coming, and was in total shock!
Professionally, Kelsi is a wedding planner by way of Hotel Jerome, Ritz Carlton, and Roaring Fork Club. Everet is the fine wine rep in Aspen/Snowmass for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. They have Coco (14) and Penny (4) that are their whole lives! They love cooking, camping, hiking with the dogs, and cross country skiing with the dogs. Everet is a triathlete and has raced in 1/2 IronMan races in Cabo, Tahoe, Boulder, and St. George. They also love road trips and traveling!
During the weeknights, they love playing board games! And they also like sunset glasses of wine on the rooftop deck in the summer. During the weekends, Kelsi and Everet enjoy camping or going on a road trip with the dogs. Their favorite dates have been adventuring in the mountains together – just them and the pups!
